Ok...
I went to the Dr this morning at 8:30am. Got right in, they took a urine sample and tested it (I was positive). The Dr asked the typical questions... date of last period, symptoms, etc. I also had a well woman exam (I was due for one). But what was bad was that she pressed on my tummy and my poor bladder thought it was going to pop...
I then had an ultrasound... couldn't quite see anything... Saw a gestational sac and yolk sac... but no baby quite yet....
Then came the blood work.... They are going to test for hormones, blood type (I already know what it is but I guess they need it on paper), etc.
I'm supposed to come back Monday for more blood work so that they can compare hormone levels and also get a better idea on how far along I am.... The Dr thinks I am about 5weeks instead of 6weeks I guess due to my ultrasound.
I'll also have another ultrasound next Wednesday.
So it was interesting. My hubby was extatic as was I.
Got a lot of samples of prenatal vits and a handout of what to expect the next few months... I'll borrow my sister's book too.
It was a neat experience. I am just amazed by the whole 'miracle of life.' I know I teach this subject during the school year along with biology, but Experiencing it is so different.
Amazing!
So we are thinking that our little one was a souvenier from our Hawaiian trip. How funny... we joked about it... but did not expect it to really happen. Haha!
