Default 21 month old crying/whining for no aparent reason??

All day today and yesterday Katelyn has spent crying and whining and I am very tired of it. I can't seem to do anything to make it stop. I don't know what to think and am finding it hard to think...so I thought it might help to get your opinions because I know I'm not thinking clearly with this noise going on constantly! She doesn't appear to be in pain usually she'll tell me if she has a owwy and point to it and she has no fever or cough...no rash...I've fed her, given her drinks, nice clean diaper...even let her have her binki.

Libby is roughly the same age and her back teeth are making her a huge grump. She whinged ALL day today I have horrendous PMT anyway and I'm telling you i'm a woman on the edge. Sometimes teeth is a none specific pain that they can't show you, could that be her problem? I hope she's ok and is soon her normal happy self soon

I was gonna say, sounds like her 2yo molars might be giving her some pain. Hope she feels better soon.

Joshua is basically the same age (he's 22 months today) and we've been going through this, too.

I have no advice, just sympathy! I hope the two of you are doing better, soon!

Alex has been acting the same way. She is only 18 months, but her gums where the back teeth will be coming in are swollen, so I chalk up the whining to the teething.

ok dont think im crazy, but this is the BEST advice i have ever recieved about parenting....worked amazing

when she starts whinning and crying (for not reason) do it right back at her. Do it right away, cut her off, and cry/whine in the same tone/volume she is. She will stop and look at you like you are crazy....which is exactly what you want. Then say to her "Now doesnt mommy look silly? Well, so do you!"

Works like a charm

Probably teething - I agree.

I can recall how my back wisdom teeth hurt so badly when they were coming in, as an adult. Can imagine how painful it is for a little one that can't tell Mommy where it hurts! Ouchie!

That would be so funny!!! I can just imagine her reaction! Just reading it cracked me up. Will try that and give her cold stuff to chew on and see if she does and if that helps her get off my case....I need a break

OMG I am such a.......not gonna use the word I want! I just felt in her mouth and there is a whole nother tooth in there that I didn't even know she had!!!!!! How the heck do I miss these things?

haha dont worry...i did the same thing with jaecy...she all of a sudden got WAY miserable and sad looking...thought she was over tired for a week. Looked in her mouth and she had 2 new teeth!!!

But she is hitting that whinny age, so if it happens again (check her gums 1st!) take my advice!! I broke Jaecy of it after 5 times...she didnt like being mocked I guess
