You should be happy you passed. I was diagnosed with GD at 29 weeks and there's more to the diet then cutting out sweets. You have to limit your carb intake and absuletly no sugar, like juice and fruit.. Heck even 1 cup of milk has 15 grams of carbs!! My carb limit is 15 grams for breakfast and a mid morning snack, 60 grams at lunch and dinner, and 30 grams for a afternoon and bedtime snack. I eat alot of protein and fats and I stay away from white bread.. Just 2 slices of white bread shoots up my BS levels.
Since you barely passed, what I would do is just monitor your blood sugar because as your prgnancy advances the harder it is to control sugar levels. Just due to the hormomes made by the placenta. Yes, it's all the placenta's fault.. lol If you notice your sugar levels going up, I would go talk to your doctor about and maybe they will put you one a strict diet or insulin.. Here's what my blood sugar levels need to fall under: My fasting blood sugar needs to be in the 60-90 range and 2 hours after eating my BS needs to be below 120. I check my blood sugar 4 times a day.
But if you control it, you baby will be fine. My little one is developing like a regular pregnancy.. She's actually smaller then the "average" baby. But if didn't control it, she would probably be huge by now.. lol..

Also, you may want to tell your Dr. that since your barely made it, you want to be treated as if you have GD. The reason why is you can get prescriptions for the blood sugar supplies (strips without insurance cost around $100 for a box of 100) and the best part is towards the end of your pregnancy you will get a ultrasound every 2 weeks so they can monitor you baby..
