3.5 weeks later...
and I still have slight bleeding. I don't remember it continuing this long after my other two. Sometimes its barely noticeable, but then the next day it will be chunky and bright again. Is this normal after the third baby??

Ditto... Devon is 4 1/2 weeks old now, and I still have to wear a pantiliner at all times. Have just a little bleeding going on yet. (TMI-- I tried a tampon the other day, and it just slid right out after 5 minutes!!! Oh No!!)
Is bleeding supposed to be less after your second/third babies?

I only have 1 child but it took almost 5 weeks for the bleeding to stop. Then I had my 6 week pp check up, and then on the 7th week af showed up!

I bled more with my 2nd, too. I stopped all together around 3 week mark with my 1st daughter- with my 2nd I was well into my 5th week.

I bled for almost 6 weeks with my first.
I'm two weeks post partum with my second and still bleeding.
I thought it was highly unfair that 2 weeks after I stopped my post-partum bleeding I started AF---and I was exlusively breastfeeding every 2-3 hours! Fortunately, after that AF stayed away for quite awhile.

What's the deal with all the bleeding anyway?? Why do women bleed for so long after giving birth? What is inside that makes a person bleed for so long afterwards? And here is a stupid question--- do women who have C-Sections bleed at all after?

I guess it must be normal. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.
Michelle- I've always wondered about the c-section mommies as well.
