4th Of July
When I think of 4th of July, I think of two things....red, white and blue and also picnic items.
Let's share some picnic recipes here.
Cold Rice and Tuna Salad
1 package rice pilaf
1 can tuna, drained completely. (I prefer white tuna in water)
1 package onion soup mix
1 or 2 radishes diced very fine
1 or 2 green onions diced
Mayonnaise
Cook rice, according to package direction. Allow to cool completely. Combine rice and all other ingredients in bowl. Coat lightly with mayonaise. Chill and serve.

Fruit Ka-bobs!
Everybody loves fresh fruit on a stick.
Vary the recipe by fruits you have on hand.
Ingredients:
Clean wooden kabob sticks
cantalope - seeded, cubed
grapes - washed and single
strawberries - washed and remove the stems
blueberries - washed
fresh pineapple - washed, cubed
Alternate different fruits on each stick.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Can serve with your favorite fruit dip, if you like.

Easy Fruit Dip
Ingredients:
3 oz of cream cheese, softened
1 jar of Fluff or mashmellow creme
Mix the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Mix in the jar of Fluff.
Some people like it lumpy.
If too thick for your taste, add a little milk.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
Makes apple slices taste like carmel apples.
Mmmmmm!

Here's a tip for deviled eggs. Add a bit pickle relish juice...not pickle relish, just the juice. It adds a wonderful flavor to deviled eggs.
Also try flavored mustards. They too will give your eggs a great flavor.
