Default 5-Point Safety Harness

I have to admit that there have been a couple times when I've olny used 3 points on my son's stroller - NEVER AGAIN!

I had a friend who tripped while she was pulling her daughter's stroller backwards and the stroller went down. Luckily, Emily was buckled in on all 5 points (2 shoulders, 2 around her waist and 1 between her legs). They were both a bit shaken, but came through without any injuries thanks to those shoulder straps.

Just a reminder to always use EVERY belt, buckle, snap or shield that was put there to protect your child.

Wonderful advice! It is so easy to plop them in and think, "this is just a short trip!"

I had too many scary moments with my older children before there were any real safety devices on strollers and other baby/toddler carrying devices.... I was actually very surprised when we adopted our son at the age of one year and found all the extra straps that were NOT just rubber with a flimsy buckle! And velcro is such a fantastic invention I am so amazed at how much safety and ease it has added to parenting babies and toddlers....
