Default 8 month old not hitting her milestones

I'm kinda concerned about my almost 8 month old baby. She cannot sit up by herself yet. She is like one of those roly poly toys and will either fall off to the side or fall forward if I'm not assisting her. I read in my Baby 411 book that sitting up unassisted is a 6 month milestone. She is also not crawling yet. She is kind of a little chink. She's almost 22 lbs. Do heavier babies have trouble doing these sorts of things (sitting and crawling)? She rolls over well. She can roll from either side and from tummy to back and back to tummy. She's been doing that since 4 months so she hit that milestone. Is there some exercise I can be doing with her to strengthen her to be able to sit and crawl? Or should I just give her a little more time?
