Default A lot of accidents today...

I live in a rural community...the village is around 4,000 (I live in the town, just outside the village) and the entire county has a population of 25,000. So that shows how small we are.

There are accidents, but it's rare to actually see one. Maybe in 31 years I've SEEN a 1/2 dozen accidents. I don't think that's a lot...but today...OH MY! I was almost afraid to drive home 'cause

1-there was a HUGE train/tractor trailer accident first thing this morning (around 5:30 am). BIG news-and even though I didn't see it with my own eyes, this type of thing will get talked about for weeks, if not months. Small town-not much else huh?

2-Driving with my kids, I saw a car off the road on it's side-almost when I was past it. I had to back up & there were a couple of young girls (late teens, early 20's) climbing out. The guy that cut them off was shaking so bad he couldn't even call 911 himself.

3-Coming home from work tonight, I got off the highway & just past that area there were rescue workers & tow trucks hauling something out of the river (which was high due to a recent pour).

I try to be intelligent, and know that these things happen all the time...but my mother's side of the family is very superstitious, and at times like these I can't help but get the hairs on the back of my neck raise. Just to be safe, I didn't drive anywhere after I got home! lol...how silly is that?!
