Default a sad story

My mom just came home from work. She told me a really sad story.

A girl decided to commit suicide and so she took an entire bottle of Tylenol. She decided last moment that she didn't want to die so she called and friend and they took her to the hospital. When she got to the ER where my mom works the doctor told her they were too late pumping her stomach.

The girl said she felt fine, but the doctor said she would be OK for about a week then she would go into acute liver failure. I think it is really sad because the girl is going to die even though she really wants to live. That is very scary to me.

I wonder what the chances are for a liver transplant?
It makes you wonder how someone so young would want to die?

I'm sure if her liver does fail, they will put her on dialysis.

Unfortunately, dialysis is for the kidneys. If an overdose patient gets to the hospital within a window of time, they can be treated to prevent the liver damage. I think it is 4 hours to treat before the damage is done.

It is sad...on all counts.

Oh that's horrible! Saying a prayer for this girl and her family. I too wonder if she would be a candidate for a liver transplant?

I don't know if she can get a liver transplant.

I don't know what made her want to die.

Dialysis is for the kidney failure not liver.

I want to know the answers too, but my mom only gets to know them for the very short time they are in the ER.

I think that would be so hard not getting updates on some of these cases. It would be difficult to just sit and wonder...

Being a kid is hard today.
believe it or not I was the "fat" kid at school.
I'm a size 2-4 now, back then I was 185.
I hated my life, kids are so cruel.
