I have a friend who has a son and the child's mother will not let him see his son. He can't find them and her family says that they don't know where she is. I was wondering if there was some kind of organization or website that anyone can link me to so that I may further assist him in his search. Any insight on this matter will be greatly appreciated.
is your friend listed on this childs birth certificate as the father? If so and if he has not given up his legal rights to the child he can file with the courts for custody and visitation rights and then she will have to comply with the court orders or prove he shouldn't see his child - so I would say call an attorney who specializes in family court
I don't believe that he has contacted any law enforcements. He is listed on the birth certificate. I will let him know that he needs to contact a lawyer. He may be on his way to Iraq soon and he was hoping to see his son before he left. He is very close with his daughter's mom. I myself have witnessed how great of a father he is. I can't imagine why anyone would keep their child from such a good parent. Thanks for both or your imputs.
