Default About Christmas...

I see that I am not the only one who has at least thought about it lately, but how do you politely tell everyone that if you get my kids toys, I'll beat you. Not that I mind the toys, but they get so much and it is just not needed at all. They hardly play with the toys they have, only a select few are prized, and the others just sit. I do have half of them put away and rotate and that they really don't even seem to care about. I would personally like them to get clothes for the next year, because that is what they are going to need, but don't want to feel like I ruined all the fun either. My favorite thing about Christmas is honestly the food, I live being with family and eating, so good.

Then why not donate the toys they don't play with to either children in the family/neighborhood that would like them, or to a goodwill shop? Make room for the new.

I wouldn't tell anybody not to get toys, but would mention a few times about how much they need clothes. Personally, I like to see a child's eyes light up when they open my gift. That just doesn't happen when its clothes.

I just tell people we would like clothes/ towels as we take care of toys ourselves, thnkfully my family understands, or we would have been over run with toys years ago.
