? about how to tell if pain is serious or just...SPD *TMI*
So...I have lots of pressure but I have had it for a long time and it almost never goes away. When I need to go pee I find it extremely hard to stand up straight...I crack everytime I go from a laying position to a sitting position. Anyway this pressure is what I felt when Kate was coming out...so how do I know if it's nothing or something? I mean if something happend how would I ever know???

I had the same, exact thing when I was PG with Devon, right down to the cracking when I moved. And the further along I got, the more painful it was when I tried to move, especially when I would try to roll over at night! It got to the point where I would cry at times! It may not be "normal" because pain isn't always really "normal", but it isn't unusual for pregnancy. Doc told me it was normal for a pregnant woman. Supposed to try hot baths (which never worked for me) and the such. I also took some Ibuprophin, but you shouldn't take too much too often because it's hard on the liver. I guess it's just one of those things that a pregnant woman has to suffer through!

Other things may accompany the pain if it is pre-term labor, and thatis what I'd watch for - bleeding, fluid leaking, diarrea (sp?), etc. Sometimes you just KNOW when something isn't right.
Ohyeah, I had a lot of the same pains too... good thing this was my last pregnancy, because I amnot sure I'd go through it again. Maybe because it was my 3rd,it made thepain worse. I was miserable!!!

If you are concerned, you need to call your doctor and at least speak w/ the nurse.
Maybe you have a bladder infection?

I guess if you're this concerned, then you ask your doctor.
And ironically, someone posted to my thread that I'd written back in May! Whoever it was wrote about the chiropractor (Which helped for me, too) and she added a link. You should check it out.

I would also try to feel from the outside if your having contractions. With both previous boys I didn't feel contractions so I had to feel my tummy and see if I could feel it get hard. Hope everything gets better.
