Default Activities for 2nd birthday

Alex's 2nd birthday is next month (Dec. 19) and we're having an Elmo-themed party at our house. Since she's only going to be two, we're having a family birthday party. There will be a few young kids there, but mostly adults. I'm wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what we could do as far as activities. Last year for her first birthday we just had family over as well, and I just served food and she opened gifts, and then of course she played with them! Last year DH and I invited a couple of our friends over, who have been a part of Alex's life. This year, we'll probably just keep it strictly family. Less people, and easier. So do we really need any activities? I don't want people to get bored or think, Wow.. That's it?? I like to entertain, so I'm making all the food myself (not sure on the menu yet, though). Is good food and a funny toddler enough? Or should I think of more things to do? Any ideas?

You could get some coloring pages for all the kids to do? You could play a board game or something, shoots and ladders, hop scotch?
