Default Adult children who won't leave home

I know of a woman whose two sons, aged 30 and 28, refuse to move out of the family home. She wanted some time alone with her husband, but he has recently died, and although she was grateful for their company during the grieving period, she wants them out. Nither of them have full time jobs, so they are around the house a lot as well. She has been both sublte and forceful, but these guys just won't shift. Does anyone have any experience in dealing (successfully!) with this type of family issue?

Charge them rent. Rent will make anyone leave. It also sounds like she may not be forceful enough to get rid of them. maybe enlist the help of other family members. If all else fails...have a moving crew come and moove their stufff out into a storage unit....change the locks. They'll find a new home

They pay rent!! One of them even runs a fully organic veggie garden out the back. They do they own washing and help with the cooking -- thye just don't want to leave. I think they must be figuring that they will just sit it out until she dies and they will go on living there together. They obviously have no plans for families of their own and see no reason to go, I guess. There are probably lots of widows who would like to be in this position, but this lady isn't one of them.
