Default age gap

What would u consider a good age gap between children ?

Did you plan your age gaps or did it just natural happen ?

Do certain children in your family get along with others better than others ?

I was worried that having five years between my last daughter (Karli-Ann) and my other daughter (Holly) would be hard. Yes it was hard when Karli-Ann was a baby as it felt like I had never had a new born baby and it was all so new to me.

But now as a 4 year old and a 10 year old they get on so well. I think having a 4 year old in the house is keeping my 10 year old younger. They sit and play 'make believe' and play dollies and its so lovely to see.

My boys have an 8 year age gap from Karli-Ann and they tend to father her alot. 'Come here darling' they often say !!!

Default age gap

I have three years between jack and molly bad bad age gap!!!!! so much bickering! 16 months between molly and luke no fighting but it was hard when they were all little and nearly 4 years between luke and Josh no problems there but then luke is used to sharing and he's so laid back as is Josh. we are going to ttc after christmas so that will be a small age gap top, hopefully.

Default age gap

I have a 17 1/2 month gap between #1 & #2. Their is a 7 year gap between #2 & #3. Then a 17 1/2 month gap between #3 & #4. Do you see a pattern here!! !! After #2 the rest were gifts and not "planned".

My boys are 4 years apart. They get along great. They have had their moments but are best friends now. Oh, they are almost 20 and 16 now.

My daughters are both 6. They absolutely adore their big brothers. The girls get along great with each other most of the time but they have their moments. And they are also best friends.

#1 & #2 are 22 months apart, #2 & #3 are 4 1/2 years apart, #3 & #4 are 2 1/2 years apart, ad 4 & #5 are 23 months apart. I think the ideal age gap would be 2 years or less. All of mine were surprises. And they all get along good. i hope the next one comes along soon!! It will be at least a 2 year age gap.

Default age gap

Hi,
I have a whole assortment of age gaps

Lisa~17
Billy~13
Robbie~11
Scott and Spencer~8 months
(the age gap between the twins is just 8 mins )

Some reasons its nice to have a big age gap, but then its also nice to have closeness in age.

Default Re: age gap

I consider 2-3 years a good age gap, only if you feel like chasing a toddler around while you have a baby.

My oldest and middle child are 5 years apart, they are opposite sexes and I never thought they would get along, let alone have anything in common, but I was wrong. Tim (he's was always trying to keep up with what Lindsey (she's 13) was doing, he never wanted to play with his baby brother, Tyler (he's 6). Now Tim and Tyler play together more because they do "boy" things, cars, wrestling, you name it.

Lindsey and Tyler get along the best, because at 7 years older then him, she likes to mother him.
