I waited for an hour which is unusual here, but we also have had swine flu here in Washington so people were in a panic. I was wearing a mask because they said if you have a cough you have to wear it. so people were looking at me and avoiding me like the plague.
I went in because I have been having horrible chest pains. They hurt so bad, and I was sick with bronchitis and a sinus infection a couple weeks ago. The cough never went away. People at work kept accusing me of having swine flu too, and I was short of breath so I decided to go in.
The doc came and took one listen to me, didn't even do a chest xray and said that I have pneumonia! I had a feeling I did. I feel horrible.
They gave me a z-pack, prednisone, hycodan cough syrup, and albuterol for my nebulizer. only two of those are considered safe. They said that all of them are ok but to be careful, I was like uhhh ok... but with the coughing fits I am having I am worried I will cause issues with the pregnancy. I have never coughed as bad as I do now! Its very painful.
So I stayed home from work today.. and slept all day. I kept having the worst dream I was miscarrying. I have continued to spot almost daily throughout the second trimester, I am hoping its related to the SCH... I havent had any bright red. I had a tiny spot of pink this morning but that was is. I know, TMI, but the docs wouldnt check on bubs at the hospital... they were too crowded... and my doc appt isnt for another two weeks.
I am wondering if maybe I have a bladder infection??? I havent had any symptoms except for some strange cramping after peeing.. so I wonder. I guess if I do the antibiotics will clear it up anyway!
And on top of it all I am experiencing REALLY BAD stress incontinence.. TMI again, sorry. I pee EVERY time I cough. Which is a lot. I have been doing kegels but they dont help! ughhhh. a biproduct of my first delivery I am sure. I wish I had done my kegels then...

What a rough go!!! I really hope that you start to feel better soon and that the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful...I can relate to the "cough/pee" issue...even if I have just gone...then when you actually go it is but a trickle..sometimes I cough on purpose then just to pee more!! I have been doing kegels but sometimes I still get caught off guard!!

Anyway...it is no fun whatsoever to be any kind of sick when you are pg!! I wish you well...hope you are able to get the rest you need so your body can get better...Sending you ((((((((HUGS))))))))))))

wow, that sounds terrible... having the sniffles is no fun, let alone being as sick as you are now. i hope you get better soon..
