Default Alternative Treatments for Pain

A close friend experienced extrement pain for years, and finally the doctors gave up and recommended that she try alternative treatments. She ended up finding a lot of relief without pain medication. I am not qualified to recommend anything, but here are some articles where you could lread more:

Have you or others you know used alternative treatments for pain management? Which have you seen are more effective?

I used to have tremendous mentral cramps. There isa space right above your right knee where if you push on it you can relieve the pressure and take away cramps. I still do taht on occasion, its amazing where some of out bodeies pressure points are located.

From mine and my families experience, I would highly recommend massages as a way to relieve some types of pain. My family has had some back issues, etc., gone to a chiropractor with little success. Now they get massages every few weeks and they feel a lot better.

Holy cow! I'm going to try that!

Sometimes, if I'm not mentally fixated on the pain, I'm able to imagine the pain away. Sounds a bit crazy, but I imagine this white light over the area and then let it settle into it.

Finding out exactly what minerals, etc. my body was lacking has made a tremendous difference. Something as simple as discovering I was extremely deficient in magnesium has made a tremendous change in how I can cope with menstrual cramps (which I suffered from for 2 weeks out of the month). I have gained a great respect for homeopathic doctors that I didn't really have previously. I feel it is a shame this was not eluded to more and explained better when I was taking all the science courses in college.
