[Firespice]

OK - I have mentioned that we are fincially challenged (OK totally poor, pay cheak to paycheack ..... no car payments (we are driving 2, 86 novas that barely run) .. no cable ..... very minimal existance and have had to ask the parents for food money some times) so we are still trying to get stable.

Now for the story .....

My mom was over here today. i was showing her some of the things she had not seen yet. she made a comment "boy for someone who has no money, you sure do have alot of nice things" now WHAT is that supposed to mean?? i have no IDEA how to take it. Is she mad that people have helped us out? cuase we cannot afford any baby stuff. we are VERY thankful for such wonderful people in our lives who are helping us out. Is she mad that people are helping us with nice things? what is the deal?

today my mom brought over another baby present ....... turned out to be a 4 foot, spinning, musical, cheep plastic snoopy mobile. I LOVE snoppy but would not have bought it even if I was rich and plenty to spend on the baby.

Here is my (other) problem. then KNOW exactly how bad we are hurting for money. Every baby gift they have given us is a space waister. We live in a one bedroom apartment (and i have been getting rid of TONS of stuff to make room for the baby) so space is a huge issue - not to mention I do have a stepdaughter that is here on the weekends ......so we will have 4 people (once the baby gets here) in a one bedroom apartment everyweekend. space is vital! (and durring the summer all WEEK long)

non of the things they bought will really help us out. if i had a nursery I guess it wouldnt be so bad .... but what on earth does she wnt me to do with a 4 foot mobile??? i wont put it over the babys crib .... that leaves it over OUR bed. ICKY.

And i am pretty sure that my mom gave us a silver sippy cup that she took out of the neighbors trash ...... (long story) ....

My parents make over $100,000 a year and we got the most useless presents from them and one was taken out of the trash!!!!!!

It really hurt my feelings that my mom said that, and it kinda hurts that they arent buying us things that we can use .... they know better then anyone else what we need, and what our finaces are ...... i just kinda feel liek since they didnt approve of our getting PG ... they are punishing us -cant understand why thought.

OK - am i just 3rd trimester totally sensitive - or would you be the tiniest bit offened?

I am VERY thankful for the other things they helped with ... and i would be happy if they said "well we help with food and other nessesitys so we wont buy other things" i would NOT be offened with that at all. i just really dont want space waisters, and dont understand beeing told that we were given to much ............ or too nice things.......
