Hello ladies, I just had a quick question about pregnancy tests. Have any of you had false positives because of clomid, as AF was due today (14 days after iui) and not a sign of it. I usually spot before AF but nothing. Anyway I just did a test (mid afternoon!!) and there is a definate, but faint (as my others were at the same stage) line. I am wondering if it may be because of the clomid.

As you can see I am not letting my self get excited, because if AF comes, it is too much of a downer, thinking it could be possible. Any thoughts? It is a def line, that can be seen. Best wishes to you all. Oh I was on the lowest dose of clomid at 50, so I was wondering is it more common or more of a rarity to get a false positive because of clomid?

I have never been on clomid but i cna relate to u abt spotting before AF.. I spot before AF but this time i did not.. i only had a small spotting which would have gone un noticed and the that was 5 days before AF was due.. i took a test 3 days after and got a very faint line.. i took the test every morning and on the third day there was a definate line..
i would take another test after a day and see if the line gets darker..

NO you do not get a false positive when taking clomid, so it sound like exciting news are you late for af or not?

Hi all, I had my iui exactly 14 days ago, so I would expect to at least see some spotting as normal before AF but so far nil. This cycle I had clomid, puregon injectables and the pregnyl trigger (that was 16 days ago), so I would imagine if there was any interference from that, it would be out of my system by now. I will keep you posted!

Wow Maria! I think you got it. Clomid definately won't do that. The HCG trigger could but my dr told me it only stays in the system for 12 to 14 days. I think you're in the clear. Baby dust and keep us posted! Gina

maria there is no way you can get a faint line from clomid (or I would have tested positve for 18 months straight ) The pregnyl trigger could affect it but if it was 16 days ago I would think not I will ask Jennifer about it she knows more about it. But I think you cought that eggie!
