Smile An Additude of Gratitude

That was the theam of our lessons today. It was a WONDERFUL uplifting day at church.

So I just wanted to express a few things I am gratefull for!

I am greatful for my all my time alone, becuase it means my hubby is hard at work or going to school at night, and i know he come home to hold me each night.

I am greatful for my car that bearly runs because I CAN still get out of the house when i need it.

I am greatful for being SOOO sick these last few months, becuase it means soon we will have our baby girl with us.

I am greatful for this 4 month heat wave because it means i will never freeze.

I am greatful for having been stuck in this area for so long, beause it means i have ALL my friends near me and people to count on.

And I am SOOOO thankful for the gosple in my life that can teach me how to look at things and see the best in every thing given to me, weather the world says its good or bad.

I know my Heavenly Father loves me.

I know I have an Eternal Family and i am SOO thankful for that opertunity He has given me.

HUGS

Suzie

what are thankful for - that maybe others might see as a negative?

Great topic Suzie. I love how you have picked out the good in your trials. I am grateful for many many things, all of which are blessings from Heavenly Father. Mostly my husband and my children and my family (mom, dad, brothers, sisters, etc...). A few trials I am grateful for are:

1- my little brother in law moving in with us because it gives us the opportunity to be an "Instrument in the Lord's hands" (there was a talk in the last conference on that). I am excited to be able to be such a postive influence on someones life, although it is hard at times.

2- my little brother who suffers from schizophrenia and a major drug addiction because without him, my faith would not be where it is right now. I was given the choice of having faith or giving up on him, I chose faith and it has made it grow so much I can't even explain.

Alright, I am not thinking real great right now, but if I think of anymore, I will be sure to pop back in and post.

I am grateful for the chance I have to be a mother. I am grateful for my loving husband who sacrifices so much for my family.

I am grateful for the experiences that have led me to be the person I am today. It seems the more difficult they are the stronger I become, and the more I realize my reliance on the Lord.

I am grateful for the gospel and my testimony. I am grateful for the Savior and the love he has for me, and everyone else in the world. It is so comforting to know that He is truly there for me when I need Him.

I am grateful that I get to do things that I enjoy, and that I am here on the earth at this time. I am also grateful for my extended family.

I am grateful for the dissagreements and arguments I have with my husband because it gives us and opportunity to communicate and become closer.

Red face Great thought - thanks!

It is funny that I would read what you all are grateful for on this day, because the other day I thought my husband was feeling less than cheerful, so I asked him what he was grateful for. He thought for a few minutes, then said, "I'm grateful for a good wife who stands by me when life is crazy busy and seems less than optimum." (or something like that). I didn't expect for him to say that "I" was what he was grateful for, but as I read the comments by everyone here today, I realize that today it is him whom I am grateful for. I guess we take turns realizing how much we mean to each other. I've never thought of gratitude in this way.

Hello!
I am grateful for the difficulties in my life. They teach me about myself and my capabilities. They teach me how much I need my family and friends. Most importantly, they teach me how to rely upon God.
God Bless,
John

I am forver grateful for being who I am today and especially where I am today - I work for a christian based charity called Send a Cow - www.sendacow.org.uk - the send a cow charity helps families in 9 different African countries by sending a cow to help in their farming pursuits so that the people involved can have a better quality of life from the money that they make. The scheme is working and in fact you may well be interested to know that families make enough money to educate their children - how fantastic is that?! So basically we are hoping to make the charity stronger and stronger everyday by becoming a Family Friend. This could be deemed as being negative but I've always said Each to their own - This is something that makes me feel good about myself as I currently work for send a cow
