Just wanted to let everyone know what is going on...we were supposed to go down to the city my aunt lives in on Sunday b/c the plan was to take Christmas to her at the hospital...we would all stay at her house and prepare Christmas there etc. Well...they discovered about a week/wk 1/2 ago that my aunt has a broken hip...whether or not it happened in the hospital or before don't know but it is a result of the disease and I believe was actually caused by a tumour there....To make a long story short she is having her surgery tomorrow afternoon...they will replace her hip with a steel ball I think my mom said..she and my dad will be going down early tomorrow to be there for her...So as of right now not sure whether or not we will be going on Sunday or not...depends on how she is feeling mostly...I believe sometime after the surgery she will undergo more radiation also...I am so glad that her hip is being operated on this soon b/c hopefully that will alleviate most or all of the pain that she has been experiencing lately....Having said that I know that that is just part of the battle and it will take time to heal from the surgery....not to mention fight the cancer....I could go on but I just wanted to ask you to remember her in your prayers that the surgery goes well and that she is able to and continues to fight the fight....Thanks in advance...Prayer is powerful and I am truly grateful to you all....so are my mom and my aunt....I have told them about all the wonderful friends I have on here and that you are all thinking of us at this time...

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers they are needed and greatly appreciated...my mom came by last night to drop off my B-day gift and she also brought over the turkey that she had bought...we (DH, kids, my sis and nephew) will just do Christmas dinner here b/c my mom and dad will be down with my aunt and it would mean my dad driving all the way home to p/u my sis and nephew and then driving all the way back to the city again...so we will just have a quiet cosy dinner here instead....

Hopefully my mom and dad arrive before my aunt's surgery... when my mom spoke to her last my aunt was very harsh and unkind to my mom...(the morphine? the fear?)...and my mom just wants her to know that they are there with her and that she isn't by herself...

Anyway, sorry to ramble...thanks again...
