Default And we're on team....

GREEN!! ..... Oh boy this ultrasound was amusing!!!

So I ate M&Ms before I went in to get it done thinking "Okay the baby will be awake if I kick some sugar in my system" Yeah.... The baby was awake, but it was laying facing my back and would not roll over for anything. She pushed my tummy so hard I swore I was going to be bruised (plus I had to pee something horrible so it didn't help) and that baby would not move. She went down and got right where the baby's thighs were and I have an ornery child .... She gets in there and the baby's hand is down there too, almost like it was covering up whatever gender it was so she had no chance of seeing it..... So then the baby moves and because of how she had to place the ultrasound thingy due to the baby's position she is hovering around where my scar tissue is from my previous c-sections, it didn't matter what this lady did, this baby was having no part of letting her see anything.

So because she couldn't see what she needed to see (developmentally I mean) I am getting sent to the hospital where I'm going to have my baby (they do the intital "big u/s" in my doc's office unless situations like this happen or something serious is wrong, which is not the case with me at all)- because they are one of the best hospitals in the area for babies and pre-natal care- to get the ultrasound done again. We went through this with my youngest ds too, same scenario (except he was sleeping on top of being uncooperative), so maybe we'll know what team for real maybe at the end of this month. I was actually not really surprised that this happened today and I laughed once she said she couldn't see anything. It's my kid, of course it's going to be stubborn. Between me and dh it's genetic that this child is naturally bullheaded,

try drinking a glass of cold water when you have the ultra sound. My sister went in for her 4D and her baby did the same thing... faced her back. So the nurse offered her some cold water. I didn't think it would do anything, but as soon as she drank some I guess the *cold* of the water did something because little Audrey began moving around and she was able to get a great selection of pictures. Try that next time.

Aww that stinks! My little boy did that to us twice, finally we went to a place that you pay and they will scan you till they see. The minute she put the probe, it was there.. Hopefully your little one will be good the next time for you.

maybe next time you go in, the tech will let you pee after they take pictures of the placenta. (our tech said that's why they ask you to have a full bladder -- to see the placenta). if my bladder's full the baby won't move at all (i think she gets squished!), but right after i pee she dances (i'm telling you that's what she does in there!). at least you luck out & will be able to get another u/s!
