Default Animal cruelty that deserves the death penalty

Someone please explain to me how people who cannot afford any dog, and tie them out for weeks and leave them to starve actually come to possess three purebred dogs?

Why is it that we see purebred animals in these conditions? Don't you have to spend a lot of money to buy one? Even if your friend or neighbor breeds them and gives you one, isn't that something of a prize?

So how do we get to these three dogs, boxers, beautiful animals, great breed, left to literally rot in these circumstances?

The trash that did this needs to be found, arrested, and in my perfect world, would be given the death penalty and have their body taken out to the trash. Because anyone who can do this is not really human.

I did not even read the article, because I cannot stand cruelty to animals it actually upsets me more than when people hurt each other...
But from what you wrote Janet, it just sounds so horrible. But I don't think that they should be given the death penalty though.. Instead they should be tied up and starved, and then be forced to sleep in the tip or some other really stinky, dirty place and slowy and painfully die. They should not be allowed to die quickly and painlessly.

In the UK we don't have the death penalty, but we get the same horrific stories of abuse, animal, cruelty and neglect as anywhere else in the world... RSPCA (Royal society of prevention of cruelty to animals) dont have the powers to give these scum bags the sentences they really need.. they ban people from keeping animals for 10 years, sentence them to 3 years in prison and have fines, but where is the justice in that??? Why cant we have a life ban from keeping animals? Why cant we have mandatory life sentence (which i think is 18 years here) for the people that have animals then make them suffer such horrific cruelty? The other day i was shopping at a local supermarket and a lady had left her little dog locked in her car, the poor thing was barking and whining i asked the store manager to call the ladies car registration plate over the store loud speaker system as it was obvious her dog was in distress, after my explanation of how that dog was suffering ( hot car, panting heavily, unable to breath 'did this manager want me to draw it all out for him diagram form'??) he called the woman out she had a trolley full of shopping had been in the store for 2 hours and was sat chatting to 'friends' in the cafe instore!!!! I was gobsmacked! she didnt seem at all bothered about her dog, then to top it all off she told me' I know what i'm doing , i'm a vet'..... She had a local vetinarys office sweatshirt on, so i assumed she was telling the truth, it turns out she actually was a vet and so i have reported her to her place of work, as in my book she knows the law on dogs in cars and she blatantly flouted that law... so when i know what happens to her, ill let you all know.

Update on the three boxers: Don't know the condition of the dogs, but the owner is on the run, thought to be in Mobile AL, and will be charged with a felony since the condition was so bad. But they have to catch him first.

I'd love to know an update if anyone has info on how these dogs are doing and if there are any developments in finding the subhuman monster who did this to them.

One of my friends who has participated in boxer rescues elsewhere told me that dogs like this are often kept for fighting - and once they are of no use, they are abandoned like this and the crooks take off. So this may be tied to some crime ring.

Oh, and as for the above in the UK - she knows what she's doing she's a vet? Well then she DOES know what she is doing and should be arrested for it, and also have her license to practice taken away. That is just not professional.
