Texas has every intention of having enough water for 2x the population during a severe multi-year drought underway right now. Texas became focused on water during a drought in the 1950's, and has not relented in preparing for water needs. Just in the most recent legislative session, our Water Resources Board chairman marshalled funding for more land and more reservoirs to supply 2x the current population for a hellacious drought 50 years hence. We just came out of a 10-year drought this past Spring, and the foresight 50 years ago had enough water for all.

I do wish that by understanding that it can be done in an arid state most of you hate,
you will resolve to do it in whichever unprepared state you find yourselves in. Or, just move to Texas. We have enough water.
