Smile Torticolis-Chiropractic

I'm a Chiropractor and we treat many pediatric patients for torticolis. It is relatively common but fairly easy to correct, usually within 6-8 visits. Look for a family Chiropractor in your area and ask if they are trained in cranial techniques. Hope this helps!

Robert will have to go to physical therapy to help get these muscles loosened up. We also have to help turn his head the other way here at home.
I was just wondering how common this was. Anyone have a child with this? How much physical therapy did your baby have to have before it was corrected?

Our little girl who is 6 mo. is being treated for Torticollis. Everyone found her head tilt to be so cute. She has some vision issues too so we thought her head tilt was related to her vision--and perhaps it could in part be because she doesn't have the typical degree of stiffness other babies with Torticollis have.

Jamie had this, we just started moving his head when he slept and his neck loosened up quite quickly, massaging their neck and shoulders helps as it encourages the muscles to relax on both sides. Flat spots don't matter, they are only superficial.

Josh had this too. He was stuck in a breech obilque lie. We didn't really have to do much and as he got more mobile it loosened off.

DS had this. We just rubbed and massaged his neck and like Samual said it looses up rather quickly. Great bonding exercise as well.
