fresh okra question
Hi all,
Need some advice on okra. A friend recently gave me a bag of fresh okra. I mostly only know how to use okra in gumbo which I make from time to time. But the thing is I usually only use the frozen kind. I chopped up the fresh ones today to put in the gumbo and it is great.
My question is: do you have any good recipes on okra to share.
Also, storing it. I won't be able to use them all before they turn bad. How to best freeze them?
Do I cut wash, cut into bite size pieces, flash freeze and then food saver them?
Do they turn mushy?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
