Pack things within things. I used every valuable space I could. I put knick knacks into pitchers and jars wrapped in tshirts and small clothing. Use linens, sheets, clothes, socks etc. to cushion items. Socks are nice because you can slip things into them (glasses, coffee cups,etc.). I also used my laundry hamper, suitcases, coolers, the fridge, etc as "boxes." ! We keep our boxes.... all kinds (banana boxes, furniture boxes, fan boxes, etc.) Just so we have them. They are flattened and bundled up and stored in our attic. We used Pod to move. It's a big container to ship your belongings in. You pack it, they take it away and deliver it. Cheap! What's nice is that you can tell them the day you wanted it delivered. My husband is the greatest at packing things. We had every space in that thing used to storing something till it got to our new house. No space was wasted. It looked like one of those puzzles you see in chilren's magazines... "What's Wrong With This Picture?" !
