Default anyone have mini-portion recipes for groups of young children?

The title says it...

I like to bake and cook, but find that I run out of patience when I have 4 kids saying "it's MY turn to do xyz". So, I thought maybe there are some recipes that are individual sized so they can each measure and stir their own bowls worth.

Does anyone have any recipes for small portions? THANKS!!!

(or any ideas on how to convert normal recipes down small?)

Split all the ingredients in quarters? Or perhaps, ahead of time come up with 8 tasks, and tell each child, you will do a&b, c&d, etc. Like an assembly line

Make yeast bread rolls.......can divide the dough and each of the children get to knead it for 7 minutes. That will keep them busy.

My mom always made the super huge batch of dishpan cookies and there was so much (10 dozen or more) that we all got tired and the supply went into the freezer. Sugar cookies are good because everyone gets to decorate and they think that's more fun than stirring.

I divide the kitchen tasks up for the day and everyone gets to help do something every day. I also let the kids make their own lunches. (With my supervision of course.)

Some cake recipes can very easily be cut in half. There are many recipes where you use a cake mix as your base. If you can divide the recipe in half, then each child makes half a cake. Have 2 kids make chocolate and two kids vanilla. You can either have two cakes in the end or make a two tier cake, that is half vanilla, half chocolate.
