havent heard of this, but my son's mother in law makes candles and sells them in her store. Any product you sell is only as good as the effort you put into selling it - and you want to be sure you don't wind up with a closet full of candles and no money!
What skills do you have?

I'm not really sure I have any skills. lol. I love anything to do with photography, I enjoy crafts but not sure if I can do anything with that. I'm considering babysitting in my home. I used to do that but now I have 2 children under 2, so i'm not real sure if that is the smartest idea. I've tried to find surveys online but everytime I think I found a good one, they dont actually pay, they just put you into a drawing or something equally stupid. I want something that is actually going to bring in some extra cash. I'm not expecting a miracle either, I just would like something that brings in a little money.

We ALL have skills! If you enjoy making crafts I think this is something that you should look into. Check local craft stores to see if they offer free lessons. This way you can hone your skills and start creating products to sell. Start by testing your crafts out on family and friends and then expand to selling online when you get more comfortable.
Good luck!

IF you like candles check out Mia Bella. They sell gourmet soy/veggie blend candles. I had been a distributor with them for two years, but had to leave due to major financial problems. I hope I can get back in next year.
I've heard a lot about Scentsy, but didn't take a good look at the company because at the time I was with Mia Bella. But I do know a few moms who are with Scentsy and they seem to do well. You should be able to look up the company and find thier website online with no problem.

I don't know if you are still looking for something but I have worked with Gold Canyon Candles for about 2 years now and it's great, I make 25% off every show I can work when I want too and there are even ways to earn all your supplies to start up free! If your are still intrested let me know and I can tell you more. Oh yeah the products are priced great much less than yankee candles and they last longer and smell SO much stronger.

A freind of mine is a PartyLite rep, and she enjoys it. It does involve travelling to customers homes to host parties, but the money you make can be quite good. I hope that helps...

Hi,
I know exaclty what you are saying about the scams as I found the same thing. How can they do it and sleep at night!
My best advice to you is to:
1.Check out to see if there is a consumeable product involved and is it something people need, use and want.
2. How long has the company been in business and I would want to know if they are debt-free. What is the long range forecast for their goals?
3. How much is it going to cost to have your own business? You will likely have to invest something, because after all, all businesses and franchises cost something.
4. Is there the opportunity to make money selling your products? Are there different ways you can sell? Are there quotas you are going to have to meet in order to collect your commission?
5. Training-is it free? Is there support for you? Is the business duplicatable? Do you feel comfortable talking with the person who wants you to do the business?
Last of all, go with your heart. There are some opportunities that you just don't feel right about. There is just that feeling of being uncomfortable. When the right opportunity came before me--I knew! It just felt right and today my mission is to touch and change peoples lives".
Hopefully this will help you when looking for a home-business.
