Default economic stimulus payment

I received my automatic deposit today and am wondering.................I only received payment for 4 of my 5 children. The oldest is 18 and, although I can claim him as a dependent (high school student) I don't get the child tax credit for him because of his age. It is my understanding, therefore, that I don't get the $300 for him included in this money either. However, even though he earned within the right parameters to qualify for this money himself, it is my understanding that he, too, cannot receive the credit himself because I DID claim him as a dependent. Does this make sense??? So - any kids out there who are 17 or older but remain as dependents because they are full time students - are left out of this incentive all together?? Seems like young working college students need it just as much as the next guy. Or am I missing something here???
