My pedi is like a million years old.......very old school. He thinks that vaccines are the answer to everything. And if you have add, ahdh, or autism----medication,and more medication... It drives me nuts!!!! He is a great doctor when it comes to other things, but the vaccines bug me, and we have acctually had words over it.
He wanted to give T the flu vaccine at 6 months! I said no way. He wasn't happy at all. Nor was he happy when we split up the vaccines, or when we denied hep b, or denied the chicken pox....... Oh well.
So Lisa, which ones are you not doing? What schedule are you following?

If they give it to such a young child, the reason needs to be explained to you.

I NEVER get flu shots. I ALWAYS get sick when I do.

The strain of flu changes every year. If I get the flu, I get sick. If I get the shot, I get sick. I don't see the point.

When I had my initial diagnosis of diabetes, my dr gave me a pneumonia shot. Well, I did not get pneumonia - but I sure got sick. Just a little fever and sniffle in 24 hours, over within a few days. Not. No more.
