Default Arghh! My knee

You may or may not have read that I injured my knee, it was a month ago now. I was playing soccer and twisted it. At first I though I must have dislocated it, but it wasn't which is good. I've had an x-ray, been to a specialist ($170 later but I'm in the process of claiming it back along with other expenses), had an MRI and the results are in.....

I have completely ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in my right knee! yay for me.. not!! So I went back to a GP (the one I usually see is off himself having a knee reconstruction) for him to translate the MRI report, and he said that I have two options
1. Have surgery to repair it, followed byt physio
or
2. Have intense physio to 'get it better'

He said that the physio is often okay for those who aren't all that active, so at first I thought, thats me good I wont need surgery. But then I thought, I am working on being more active, and eventually my goal is to join the police force so....I think that I'll be having surgery. So I just need to contact another specialist, make an appointmetn to discuss it all and then see what happens.

*sigh* And i didnt think it was all that serious. Oh well
