Well, I am near Pensacola, and today was on Navarre Beach. No where near where Ike will make landfall.
But the whole friggin gulf of Mexico is a mess.

The water is coming all the way up to the dunes, and in some areas of the island is flooding the streets. This is waves, people, not rain.

This is today. The sand is everywhere. It has buried a lot of dune restoration begun after the 2004 hurricane. And that little thing in the middle of the water is not a chair. It is the lifeguard's perch. Usually WAAYYY back from the tide.
So - how are things by you in Alabama? Mississippi? Louisiana? Texas?
