Default At a loss.. Again..

Nearly a month ago, McKenzie decided she didn't want the pureed foods anymore. So I followed her cues and we switched to healthy finger foods. At first she started the chewing then spitting them out. That quickly stopped and she was eating like a pro. A lot.
She recently got sick(resp infection) and since becoming sick she won't eat solids other than fruit cocktail cups and yogurt and snacks like Cherrios and Puffs.
She doesn't even attempt to pick anything up- she won't let me feed her. I even busted out the baby food last night and tonight. She ate 1/4 of a jar and clamped her mouth shut last night- this afternoon seh ate two bites before clamping.
Is this typical when they're not feeling well or is she already deciding to be SUPER picky. I surely don't want her solids to consist of the foods mentioned above- ONLY!
She's still taking 32 ounces a day of formula(8 ounces every 4 hours like clock work)!

Thanks for any insight!

I know when Caleb was sick last week, about the only thing he wanted to do was nurse - he wasn't much into the solid foods. I don't know if their throat gets irritated so cold/slimy things like fruit and yogurt feel good so that's about all they want to eat. It took Caleb a few days to get back to himself and now's he's chowing down on everything again. Keep offering and I think she'll be fine again pretty quick

I think it's normal...the heat or not feeling well will make all kids do that. They go through phases...soon, you will be posting about her never-ending appetite!

i know even when i'm sick i just want to drink... i wouldn't worry about solids until she over her cold... teething can also turn them off solids

I agree, but I think it's important to keep offering her balanced diet and sit her up when your eating even if she just pushes it round the plate. She'll be getting plenty of nutrients from her milk at the moment as she's only 7 months.
