Default ATV Riding...

I am wondering about riding ATV's while pregnant. I don't go to the doctor until that end of the month...so not really able to get the "Professional" response on this. Plus, we got 2 ft or more snow and I really want to go play! But I also don't want to do anything that will affect the baby! Any advice?

Ya I agree thats a big no!! Anything that could cause a fall is off the list!! Sorry I know it sucks but I'm sure you rather be safe than sorry!

I agree with PP's. I wouldn't do it. I think it is way too risky, but if it's reallly bothering you, you can try and call your hospital's advice line and ask.

Me personally, I'd putt around...nothing fast or rigorous, but slow & easy. BUT-I was warned by my dr that it wasn't a good idea It is my opinion only that taking it slow (as in golf-cart slow) is safer than riding in a car, if you're an experienced ATV-er. But that's only my own opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

As a nurse, I would say to err on the cautious side. Don't do anything that could be hurtful to you or your baby.

it snowed here and I never even thought about it, just took dd and her sled and pulled her around the yard. As long as you aren't doing jumps or fall off, I think it would be fine. Just my opinion though.

I personally wouldn't because you never know what can happen on those things. Even if you are being careful.

It's not good to jolt around quickly and hit bumps like that during pregnancy. Plus, you can always fall off, and you don't have control over something like that - accidents happen. Just don't risk it.
