I found another deal at Jewel. The spotlight ad says that it goes from 11/5/06-11/12/06, but when I was up at customer service because of the P&G catalina problem the manager said that this deal is already working at her store. I haven't tried it yet, but I might tonight because it even comes out better if you shop today or tomorrow. Ok, so here is the deal:

With the cake mixes and flour on sale for 79 cents today and tomorrow, if it is working, this would make them free, actually it would give you 26 cents overage possibly. I will report back on this if it works tonight.

Ok, I tested this tonight and it is working, so if you can go tomorrow, you can get free cake mixes and flour. I did recieve the overage too.

Where did you see this ad? Spotlight ad? I'm in the Chicago area and was wondering if it would work here. I bought 5 items (flour, cake mixes) today and had no idea there was a promotion going on. I checked my sales flyer and couldn't find anything. Any help appreciated!

Jewel puts out a spotlight ad every week or so and you can only pick them up in the store. Its in there and it says its valid 11/5-11/12, but its working already. I would bet that its working in the Chicago area also. If you would of bought one more it would of worked for you. I think it will probably be advertised in tomorrows ad.

I went today and got 3 cake mixes, 3 bags of flour, and a 12 pk of Diet Pepsi. I used a 0.55 off any Pillsbury baking item coupon and paid $2.15. Less than the sale price of the soda. Totally awesome!

Well, it didn't work for me on 11/4 in a store just west of Chicago. I had to go to customer service and plead my case. They told me the sale didn't start until 11/5. It was close to midnight so they told me I would have to wait. I ended up getting about 3.50 back with increased prices of 11/5. Unfortunately, they wrote all over my receipt and I was hoping to send it in for the Pillsbury Whipped Supreme Try Me Free rebate. Ugh, I don't know if they will accept it, but I'll give it a try anyway.
This is a very good deal... if it works for you. I will probably go back later in the week and buy smucker's jams and more baking items. Hope it goes smoothly!

Thanks for the head-ups !! I went to three Jewels today and picked up
a bunch of cake mixes, frosting, brownies and potatoes. I am going to
keep some, give some to my sister and I think I will donate to the Food
Pantry... they would probably like to have something " sweet " to eat
for a change.
