I'm hearing a lot about perimenopause and how that begins in the thirties, but I'm keen to hear at what age menopause usually starts (or ends!). Does anyone want to volunteer at what age it happened for them, or their mothers? My neighbor told me that her menopause was instant - suddenly nothing happened ever again, yet other women's menopause experiences seem to dwindle on for several years of irregularity.

Thanks for that webpage. I had a look at it, along with several others. I'm not too much the wiser as it seems there's no set patttern to when these things occur (perimenopause and menopause). Guess we are all individuals!

No there is no set pattern. I am late 40s, perimenopausal. Noticed some changes in my 30s, but was still having babies then, so things were changing all over anyway!
I hope it is as easy as my mom's - she barely noticed a thing! |
