It definitely makes little ones much safer in water
and when accidents occur they know what to do.

My boys took swimming lessons at age 2 and up. We did not start that young.

That's a long 5 minutes for a baby to be able to float. As a mom, don't know that I could stand by and watch my baby calling for me that long.

He was a little cutie!

Oh wow, that is amazing. I agree though I don't think I could have watched if that were my child. That is one of my biggest fears with my kids is the water. Oh I just cringed when the little boy fell in the water in the beginning. But I think its a great concept though.

i used to help teach a baby and me swimming class the baby has to be 8 weeks to start the class. I know that you can teach a baby to rotate but it isnt exactly a guarentee baby's panic. we didnt teach the baby to be able to save themselves but i think it would have been cool to learn how

I saw this recently as well and was just amazed by it. I don't think it's available in Canada yet, but it's definitely something to consider. My parents have a gorgeous in-ground pool, but when they put it in, they design of the backyard did not account for child safety. Although we are always with the girls when we are out there, it would be a lot less stress to know that they knew what to do if they accidently fell in.

teaching a baby to float is really a good idea cos it uses very little energy where as if a baby had only been taught to swim and was to fall in a pool and no one was in the water for a long time then the baby would get tired and still might drown
