Question Baby #2??

How far apart is your 1st and 2nd child?
What do you think is the "perfect" age gap?

Dh keeps talking about TTC baby #2. I'm a little worried it might be to early. Nevy is a handful with her having reflux and all. I dont think I am ready to throw baby #2 into the mix. I want to get my body back in order before we start TTC #2. I started a natural progesterone last week and af just showed up. I want to track it and see if I can "o" by myself. Dh said if I "o" we should BD and try for #2. Is it just me or is it to early? Nevy is only 7.5 months old! I want to wait until Jan. '09. That way she will be 1.5yrs but Dh is worried b/c it took us soooo long to get pg with Nevy that it could take years again and wants to start now. I dont want to do fertility treatments right away. I want to loss weight and get my cycles back in order and try by myself before I see a Dr. again. So what do you think is the perfect age? Is dh right? Should we start now or wait? I am so confused! Dont get we wrong I really want more kids but can I handle them this close together?? Any opinions would be great! Thanks!

My girls are two and a half years apart. I got pg with my second when the first was 18 months. Things went great for me. My sister in law has five kids the 1st and 2nd are 5 years apart the and she thought that was awful but her two middle were a year a part and she thought that was awful, so somwhere in the middle I guess! Her kids ages are 12,7,6,4,1

I don't know if there's a "perfect" spacing. Our plan was to start TTC #2 when DS turned 1. The year flew by so fast that when he was 11 months I told DH "I'm not ready, yet". DS turned 1 in August, 2007 and we started TTC in December/January 2008. I am pregnant now and ours will be 25 months apart.

My best friend got pregnant with her second when her 1st was 6 months old. Things were pretty crazy for her for awhile since the two were about 15 months apart!!!

around 3 or so i think. Katlyn and Kelli are 3 and months so are Courtney and Kelli. Court and this one will be my closest at about 2.5. its much easier when the first one in potty trained before have the 2nd one.

I think 2-3 years is a good age as you can spend time with your first baby and enjoy them. If your not ready Jen don't let him pressure you. Just tell him you need more Nevy time

Joshua will be almost 4 once this baby arrives. I was advised against getting pregnant within the first year after having him since I had a c-section. I ended up waiting because I wanted him to be able to be 'the baby' for a while.

My brother and I are about 3 1/2 years apart and we have a good relationship. Of course when we were younger we didn't always get along. My dh wants to start trying next year but I would like to wait until Ellamae is 2 1/2 before we start ttc #2. My biggest worry is my age. My mom's side of the family have all had children when they were young. My mom and her sisters have all had female issues in there late 20's early 30's, and they can no longer have children. So that worries me a little.

My first 2 are only 10 months apart... This was not planned, but I couldn't be happier with it! It was super hard in the beginning, but now, it's wonderful!!! When planning #3, I wanted to wait until DS2 was at least 1 ((he turned 1 two weeks after I found out I was pregnant)) so that I could let my body heal. That is SUPER important. I could barely carry DS2 to term ((he was born at exactly 37 weeks and that was after 6 weeks of bed rest!)) because my body was so weak. The doc's normally say give your body 2 years to fully re-coup. I think the only person that knows what you can handle is you. If you don't feel comfortable yet, you should wait. As close at my 2 are, I wish I would have waited a bit longer, to give DS1 more one on one time. It's kind of hard to split myself in half during the day. Only you will know when you are truly ready though! Good luck honey!!
