Ahh!! Did anyone catch the new TV series The Baby Borrowers tonight?? It was on at 9/8 central on NBC. SCARY!! This was the first episode of the series, and it's about teenagers who want to have babies. The show has parents "lend" their babies to the teen couples for a certain number of days, and the teenagers have sole responsibility for them. After taking care of babies, they are given toddlers, then pre-teens, then teens and then elderly.

It's the most scary watching these kids try to take care of babies! One girl didn't feed the baby ALL DAY so the baby's real mother stepped in and was super nice about it, and said you can't just give up and let a baby starve because you're frustrated. The teen girl didn't take it too well, and she stormed to her room and pouted and cried saying that this is supposed to be a learning experience and she shouldn't be criticized. OMG! If you were to see the show I'm pretty sure you'd be just as disgusted as I was.

I know there are great teen moms out there, but the show just reinforces the whole 'babies raising babies' term. Some of the couples act like children themselves! It's really hard to watch. Maybe I'm being too hard on them after only the first episode.
