Obviously this is an old thread, but I liked the op topic so here's my $.02.
I am planning on doing a baby book for each child which will include pictures up until the time I can start them a school age book. I also do a family album, a Christmas album, and a portrait album. Then there is my album/pictures that I never finished of my stuff pre-kids.
I have put my personal album on long-term backburner status. I am concurrently working on our family album and my daughter's baby album. I'm caught up in her baby album through March '05. I'm just a little behind that in our family book. I haven't started my son's baby book at all. The Christmas album only includes Christmas '04 so far, but I just do 2-4 pages per year, so I'm really not all that behind in it in terms of pages to be done. The portrait albums haven't even been started, but all that will be is my kids professional 8x10s stuck in a separate album. (I plan to give them their baby/school albums someday and keep the portrait albums, family albums, and Christmas album for myself.)
Judging from the size of my daughter's baby book so far, it will actually end up being several books. So I'm sure the same will be true for my son's (and any future children's).
All of these projects seem a little ambitious, especially since I haven't done consistent scrapping in about 2 years. Once I get our new apartment unpacked, I'm going to try really hard to create a scrapbook nook in a spare corner where I can leave my stuff out at all times. I think this apartment is big enough for that to be possible, and I think that approach will allow me to get more done than trying to attend monthly crops. Then the trick will be keeping the kids away from it.
