Baby Shower Goodie Bags, opinions wanted!
My sister and I are due within 2 days of each other, so we are having a very large (over 50 invitations sent out) baby shower (more like a huge party!). We are having it together because we have lots of family traveling from out of town and we want them to only make 1 trip. I am making goodie bags for the guests and this is what I have bought so far and each bag will get:
-1 small bath fizzie
-1 small bar of herbal scented soap
-3 chocolate truffles
I was thinking if adding one of those small 1-pot bags of coffee or maybe a scented votive candle (i am thinking either baby powder or lavender (the reason I am thinking lavender is to match the herbal scented soap, but the baby powder would be cute since it is a baby shower). What are your thoughts? Can you think of something else that would be appropriate to add to the bag that is somewhat inexpensive (looking for items in the $1-$2 range since I am making 40 bags). Just looking for opinions...I am sooo not creative when it comes to these things! TIA!!

I just went to a baby shower that had the cutest favors. They were minature animal cracker cookie cutters (monkey, bear, elephant) with the recipe for animal crackers attached with a ribbon. The girl who hosted this got them off an on-line store pretty cheap. I don't know the name of the store, but could probably find out, if you want. They were sooo cute!!

I think the items you have chosen are great, Allison!!! You could really go either way with the candle idea...the baby powder one kind of is cutesie and ties in with the baby theme...and lavender is always a nice relaxing scent that would be a nice companion to the bath fizzie/soap....what about some hand/body lotion in either scent that you could find at the $ store I imagine...how about a "fun coupon" that they can redeem with you to hold the babies and have their pics taken with them...? I am plum out of other ideas right now....

I have waited for the sales at Bath and Body works and given those small sample sized soaps or lotions. Yankee candle votives are also less than $1--especially if you grab them on sale.

They also make baby powder in a lavender scent.
Sounds like they will be very nice.
Here is what we did...

They were filled with pink and yellow chocolates

The candles sound cute
At one of my showers for my DD, they made chocolate suckers in the shape of a baby girl.
The one I went to last month had chocolates in shapes of baby items and were colored. You could also try looking around a Sam's or place like that for items too. Good luck hun!
