Back again, for now...**Update**
Hey Ladies, I got a positive pregnancy test yesterday morning, which was really exciting. I must say, it is a wonderful feeling to get pregnant without really trying. We were not trying but not preventing. We figured with our sub-fertile selves it might take a while, so we didnt want to prevent. I went for lab work yesterday afternoon and the office called this morning. My progesterone was 34.5, which is good and I do not have to start progesterone supplements. My HCG was 48 at 4weeks and 1 day. Kinda on the low side, so we will recheck tomorrow morning. We are hoping for a doubling, but we are also realistic because of our history of miscarriage. Just hoping all will be ok and the twins will be big brother/big sister in about 9 months!
Did anybody else have HCG levels around what mine are and went on to have successful pregnancies?
Also, if you are friends with me on facebook, we are keeping this super secret for now!

Thanks Lindsay for the well wishes! Your boys are so adorable, and I am so happy for you!
I really need to just get off of the computer. In a nutshell, the charts with normal HCG ranges say I am in the "normal", and there is such a wide range of normal. But, in the forums where people are posting their 4week HCG results, it seems like I am much lower than most all of them. Ugh. I hate the waiting. Plus, the babies are at my mom's today so I can clean, but I just keep getting back to the computer! Ok, stepping away now....

Yeah yeah yeah!!!!!!
Congrats to you!!!! How exciting.
Don't stress about the numbers, what matters is if it doubles!!!
My numbers were high, and it didn't mean twins....
and from all the reading I did, it is the doubleing that matters most, as everyone varies so much.
I will be praying for you to have a good doubling, and a happy healthy nine months!!

This may sound confusing but is it possible that you ovulated a little later than "normal" so maybe you're not quite 4 weeks 1 day like you think? My body apparently doesn't always ovulate during the normal 13-14 days after LMP because when we had our first u/s with BOTH of my daughters, they BOTH measured a week small considering my LMP and my doctor said that I must ovualate about a week later than "normal". Hope that makes sense.
Whatever the case may be....I'll be praying for VERY sticky dust for you!!!

Thanks everybody for the well wishes, I appreciate it. Sadly though, the HCG only went from 48 to 60. The doctor said that he will consider it a viable pregnancy for now since the numbers went up and the progesterone is so good, but really, the numbers didnt do what they needed to. I will be having more blood work on Monday, unless I start to miscarry before then. So, it looks like we are going through this for the third time. I have had tons of tests run on me, all came back normal. I wish I knew why I miscarry. I have to say though, I am just so thankful to have my twins, and they keep me so fulfilled, so even if we never have another, I am ok. But we would welcome another with open arms. We really wanted this to work out. We are going to keep this miscarriage quiet, no need for family and friends to find out.

I'm so sorry.
Have you ever been tested for the Karyotype chromosomal defect? My sister-in-law has it and it has caused her to miscarry six times. When we lost our first pregnancy, my husband was tested to make sure he wasn't a carrier. Thankfully he wasn't and we've gone on to have two healthy pregnancies. Just something to maybe run by your doctor to see if he thinks it's something to be tested for (simple blood test).
Again, I am so, so sorry!!!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I think we have already had that done. We saw a geneticist after the 4th IUI didnt work and it was looking like IVF for us (we didnt want to go through that if it were impossible for us to have "genetically normal" kids and we would continue to miscarry), thankfully, we never went the IVF route, turns out 5th times a charm for us with IUI. From all of the research I have done, it looks like we have been tested for everything. I have my yearly GYN appointment in September, so I will just discuss all of these miscarriages with him then. Maybe he will have some insight for me. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers guys, they mean a lot, especially since we have only told 3 people, there is not much support, so yeah, thanks for being there for me.
