Unhappy Back pain

For the last few days I've been down due to my back... The little one seems to like to lay a certain way and push nerves. Anyone have any suggestions?? I've tried walking but only seems to help some, and changing positions when I lay down does the same.
I just feel bad cause I can't play with DD or get things down around the house like I should.
I'd rather have those fun kicks the baby was doing last wk compared to this!!

I had something similar with my first pregnancy, and I talked with my doctor about it, and she referred me to a specialist! It actually worked wonders! I did physical therapy for a while, and felt one hundred times better! My hips were crooked, and it seemed to have an effect on baby's position. That's what worked for me! Hope that helps!

DS was breech and facing backwards for 90% of my pregnancy. I hurt my back as well and ended up going to a chiropractor. It was the best thing I could do and it really helped!

I go to a chiropractor and it has done wonders during both pregnancies! In fact, I go again today!

For short term relief, I have heard they make back/belly braces for pregnancy - like a large ace bandage. I haven't got one yet, but I am going today or tomorrow to Babies R Us to see if they have them.

What I did was get on all fours and put your head down to rest on your hands. Then swing your hips from side to side. It gets the little one off of that nerve! I also went into my Dr because it was so painful. She moved Robert a little in my belly and that helped.
Ask your Dr. Walking just made mine worse.

Well, the baby finally moved some, and I'm out of pain. Which is good, but I might try the chiropractor the next time it happens... I went a few times when I was prego with DD and felt wonderful!! I use to go to one like once a month, but my last insurance didn't want to cover it so I quit. I'm glad the one I have now covers it though.
Thanks!

That position is one that helps my sciatica. I have it really bad on my right side, and it hasn't gone away for the last 3 months. I also found when I walk if I take longer strides it usually helps. Another thing that may work if you have the pain again- try placing your foot on your knee while you are sitting on a chair, and then leaning forward a bit. I know it's awkward if your belly is big, but if you can get your foot up on your knee, it really helps stretch out the nerves in that particular leg.
