Default Bahamas Family Vacation????

My family and I are taking a family vacation to the Bahamas this summer....has anyone vacationed there with their families??? We will be staying in a gated resort on the Grand Bahama Island. I have read comments from others that have stayed at this same resort and it appears to be family friendly... I was just feeling a little nervous traveling there with my kids (12 and 1 year old). Any suggestions on what to bring, what to watch out for????? Thank you!

Default The Bahamas is a great choice

You should defiantly try snorkeling, there are many places which offer this type of tour. A dolphin encounter in the Blue Lagoon is also fun, and you kids will love it.

Welcome to the board, jmoore215!

Vacation time will be here before we realize. Best to plan ahead so that
everyone in the family has something they want to do on vacation.

If you try the waverunners, you should know that they are kind of fast, and you need to be prepared. Most vendors rent them out for certain amounts of time, however, during the early spring or late summer when tourists are not around, you can rent a waverunner longer or cheaper.
