Bed Time Temper Tantrums!!!
OMG! aiyana is throwing a horrible fit about going to bed, shes been screaming bloody murder as soon as she suspects shes going to bed. she is teething so i blame alot on that and shes super clingy, if i even look like im about the leave the room she freaks out. i just dont know what to do about these tantrums i cant let her not nap and i dont want her to HAVE to be rocked to get to sleep and i dont want to leave her scream. shes always been such a good laid back, easy going baby so this is a big change

Maybe give her some tylenol to help the pain?
When Alyssa does that, there's usually a good reason-Tummy aches and teething are usually the culprits. If she has a belly ache I rock her to sleep while patting her back.
Hope any of this helped. Hope you get some sleep soon!

Something new is going on. Like Jean noted, probably a bad tummy ache, burps, or something going on.
Can you wear her out having a bedtime bath? She must love the water and that would get her in the mood to sleep.

Has she been rocked to sleep up until now or was she going to bed on her own and now won't? If it helps, my son is just a few weeks younger and he is still rocking/nursing to sleep most of the time. Other times dh holds him/rocks him to sleep.

If she was previously sleeping well, something is probably bothering her. It may be teeth, my baby is getting his molars right now and it has been horrible. Toddlers can also experience sleep disruptions when they are hitting milestones, like learning to walk/run/climb. This usually resolves after a week or two. I hope you both get some rest tonight!

My 1yo and 2yo did this to me, but they didn't have a "reason" really, they just wanted to stay up and play... I would just say sternly ((not yell or anything)) that they had to close their eyes and go to sleep because mommy wouldn't be happy and then I would leave the room. If they got all upity again, I would go in, lay them back down, with their cup and bottle and repeat myself. It would take an hour or 2 a night, but it worked. It took like 3 days for it to stop, but they settled down after that.
Also, if it is her teeth, did you try orajel? My one son would FLIP if it touched his gums, but my youngest needed it hardcore, but they have a night time version that lasts longer ... that one could kinda go either way... good luck!

A friend of mine had this problem (I haven't gotten to this point yet), and she had a tickling session with her baby every night. She got her to belly laugh for a long period of time about an hour and a half before bedtime, and it wore her out. That way, she could barely hold her head up when it was time for bed because she was so tired. This was also during teething. Try that, along with Tylenol. Usually, Tylenol helps my dd sleep beautifully on top of helping her with any pain she has (and before anyone gets uptight, I don't give her Tylenol just to make her sleep... I just wanted to clarify).

Our baby had a similar problem due to teething. Giving him some freezeable chewing items (made for teething) helped. We did the rocking thing for a while but he got used to it and it was a arduous process getting him to go to sleep on his own again.
I've heard the Orajel stuff works pretty well too, we never had to try it though!
