Question Bedrest During Third Trimester

Does anyone have any tips for coping with bedrest? I was on bedrest for more than a month during my last pregnancy (all went well! I have a healthy 1-year-old boy ) and I am now trying to help a friend of mine who is dealing with the same issue. Some things I thought of:

*Try to get outside everyday if you can. (Maybe have someone carry you to a lounge chair on your porch; I even had one friend that would have her husband drive her around in their car for some stimulation!). This depends, of course, on how mobile you can be.
* What about learning a new skill, such as a language or knitting?
* Catch up on scrapbooking or organizing your photo albums.
* Read books or play games with other children, if you have them. It can be a great opportunity to have quiet bonding time with them (if they comply! ).
