Belly question...
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this.
On the right side of my belly (just below the level of my bellybutton) I've got one spot that is really tender at times -- I've even noticed a couple of bigger, blue-bruised stretch marks in that exact spot. I have a tendency to press on it when the sprout worms his way over there (partly to try to coax him out of it and partly because it just hurts) but sometimes when I press on it I can actually feel a pain right through to my back. There's nothing like it anywhere else on my belly... I'm just wondering if something may be pulled or separated or something in that particular spot? I'm going to ask my dr about it next time I'm in, but it's not something I'd make a specific visit for and I'm curious in the meantime if anyone else knows anything about it.

I find he presses what I think is his back out that side every now and again, as in he rollllllls his way over there and leeaaaans out the side lol! I kinda give him a push to get him to roll away again, but MAN... I first felt it last week and it felt like he was trying to come out through!

lol... Gabriel preferred hitching his feet into my left hip and pushing his backside out the opposite side of my belly... I was lucky enough to avoid bruised ribs last time, hoping I will this time too!
I think they're just stretch marks, just bad ones -- they're bruise lines instead of being red or pink. I'm thinking he pushed a little harder than my muscles and skin wanted to take!

Belly Question Answered!
I had to bring DS back in for a checkup today, so I asked my dr to check my belly -- and when he hit the tender spot, I nearly jumped off the table! He says it's from heavy stretching in the broad ligament, an absolute nuisance, but totally normal. I guess the wee sprout really was pushing a little too hard on that side!

Glad you found out that everything was fine even though it sounds like it will hurt for a while. Is there anything you could put on it to help relieve it somehow. I hope it doesn't last long and that your little munchkin doesn't keep iritating it.

This is strange, but I am actually experiencing the same thing you are. This week my belly was so sore and I had a sore spot. I called the Dr. and they said the same thing, my belly stretched to fast in some places. They said it was the muscles and ligaments stretching. Then this morning I think my belly grew about 2 sizes!! None of my clothes fit. It was amazing.
