Default belly sleeper

As hard as i try, Jack will only sleep on his belly. if he's on his back he'll wake up in no time flat, and he'll squirm if he's on his side. The only time he'll sleep on his side is if he's sleeping with me, which i don't mind if he sleeps with me, but i've noticed my body overproduces milk if he does (ouch!)

any suggestions?

My DD was the same way when she was brand new. Through trial and error we found out she liked to be swaddled so we got a swaddle me since we couldn't find any receiving blankets that were big enough to make her a "baby burrito".

GOOD LUCK!

Maybe swaddle? I wouldn't belly sleep for anything. I've been exposed to WAY to many friends in my support group who lost babies via SIDs and I couldn't chance it, even for sleep.
I think newborns like bellys because they don't have the same startle reflexes there.

Good luck.

we're big swaddlers (we use the miracle blanket), but he's still insistent on being on his belly.

DS hated to be swaddled. And I tried and tried and tried to get him to sleep on his back, but he would sleep for a few minutes, and then wake himself up. We put him on his belly and he slept so much better. DS slept in a sorta co-sleeper so he was right next to me so I was always checking on him.

You have to do what you have to do, for you both to get some sleep.
