Hey, I'm new to this (both the board and Diet) I haven't started yet, but I plan on starting Tuesday, after Labour Day. I have a few questions however.
1. Is it safe to do normal cardio excersise during the 10 days? Or any type of exercise period? I prefer belly dancing as it has helped me loose weight in the past (until I of course couldn't resist a slice of pizza one night.) And is it too far fetched to hope for a flat tummy by the end of this?
2. If you chose not to exercise, will you have loose skin from rapid weight loss?
3. Can you stay on this diet for a month AS LONG AS you atleast eat some fruits and veggies and maybe some nuts for protien (like vegans)
4. I'm about 195 but I look NO WHERE near it. I look atleast 150...(I sure wish I was though!) Or atleast by the end of this diet, HOPE! Anyway, is it possible to go from 195 to around the 150 mark in that short amont of time?
And lastly, any success stories anyone wants to share, you know, a little encouragement for the newbi!
And oh! Is there like a book or something I'm supposed to follow to make sure I do it right?

Default Second Cleanse

Hi all,
Started my second cleanse today - i did the first one way back in March and did 10 days. This time i'm aiming for 14. Need to lose a few pounds before holiday. I just keep thinking about how great i felt last time i did this once i got the first few days out of the way which is keeping me motivated.

Keep posting girls - i'm not as geared up for this as i was last time so i need the support! Also doing this one whilst working whereas last time i had two weeks off.

I keep reminding myself that nothing tastes as good as the sense of achievement once you have completed this feels!!

Hi all, this is my 2nd day and I'm doing great so far!!!!it's still early (noon time) and I have at long day ahead of me, but I'm not feeling hungry. I started yesterday weighting in at 270lbs and weighted in today at 266lbs. I know with my size and the water wgh that's not a lot but it's still a lost. I think I'm going for 10 day's to 14 days.
Question, would it be possible to add a little lemon juice to the SWF if not that's ok it may just make it more tolerable.

Keep it up all! I do agree to the comment someone posted about re gaining the weight, BUT I dieted really fastidiously last year, 4 months, lost 18lbs. Guess what, gained it all back- don't know how long it took, but I did- and then some more. This time I lost 29lbs since May, now I have to keep it off. I think it will take a lot of will power, but the 14lbs I lost in May never re appeared. I have occationally binged- who doesn't.
I have gained 3lbs from eating, which is more than the last 3 fasts, but it may be due to my muscles rehydrating. (gained is not an appropriate word to use as it would be impossible to replace the fat that quickly)
Faith keep going! I didn't exercise hard on the last fast, just gentle walking. Do what you can- any is better than none! I wish I was in 103f- its cold here, and that's with all the windows shut- about to tuck the duvet around me on the sofa! Keep drinking water if nothing else! Good luck!

the last time i did the cleanse, i barely exercised because my work requires a bit of walking and running. i dont get a great amount of energy like some others that were/are on the cleanse. but right now i am simply going to the gym to do weight training 2 times a week aside from the walking/jogging at work.

it is inevitable not to gain some weight back after fasting. but i believe with willpower, it is still possible to keep a good amount of the weight off with proper eating. it is just a matter of changing your way of thinking in terms of food.

day 6 i am proud. haven't successfully gotten to day 6 since the first time. so i am excited!

keep up the good work all!

So its day two and about lunch time. I feel ok. Actually quite full of energy. My desk is spotless, been cleaning, tidying and filing like crazy! I did my usually full high intensity cardio workout last night for an hour thinking i might regret that today but feel fine. Planning to go to the gym as well tonight. Figured i might as well go with what my body says - if i can do it, i will, but i wont feel bad if i need to rest.

Am still very tempted to quit though. Not sure why. Dont feel like i want to eat or anything i just dont feel as motivated and as strong as last time. Its a bit of a vicious circle because the more i think about quitting the more i think that if i'm considering quitting on the second day i wont make it to the end so i might as well give up. Does that make sense??!

Anyway keep strong to all the others on this that are going through the same. I keep checking on here for some support and to remind myself why i'm doing it!!

That makes perfect sense and i went through the same thing during the first three days. Once you make it over the hump of Day #3 something changes. You can see it in people's entries here. If you need extra motivation, go back through this list and follow a few people. You'll see that everyone seems to change for the positive after Day #3.

Hang in there, Sugar! You're going to feel fantastic!

Hi Sugar, I do know what you are going through this is my 3rd day and I want to eat something so bad. Just got home from work and not in the same mood I was in the 1st and 2nd day...those two days went wonderful. But I'm not quiting yet and this e-mail help me to make that choose, knowing that someone else feel's the same way.
Cocotbo, what you said also made me forget about eating. It's funny how before I got online I had just walked out of the kitchen and said "I ready to grab them potato chip" as this is one of my favorite foods. Now I'm going to just go sit back on the couch and drink my drink.
I want to think you all again and Cocotbo I hope it's true that after the 3rd day it get's easier. Sugar don't give up I'll be hanging in there with you. talk to you'll later tonight or tomorrow evening.

Default Hang In There Guys!

Hang in there guys! I know its tough! But Coco is right, after day #3; it is like you're over the hump! oh man it took me forever to get pass day 3. I tried literally all summer. I only succeeded the first time I ever tried the cleanse but now I am on my 2nd and hopefully final cleanse then here on out, I know what it takes to stay healthy. Its easier said than done, but retraining your brain is whatcha gotta do! Our American society does a bit of brainwashing so just keep up the good work!

I am done with day 7 tomorrow i am on Day#8! and man this time on the cleanse, it is quite weird! I said yesterday I didn't feel as energetic as others but I take that back. Some parts of the day I may feel tired but for some crazy reason, I feel REALLY wired! I have been having a hard time sleeping. I wonder if its also because I am on Day 8 and I'm just so happy that I have made it this far and know I will make it to 21days! whatever it is, I am feeling better about myself now. I, on the otherhand, admit, I do have an eating disorder. But I am seeing a therapist to get help with my obsession with my self image. I was very depressed this entire summer (may-aug) but I guess it finally hit me that I am done hiding from the world, my loved ones, friends, and socialize again! I miss it! I miss it a lot! So i am more motivated than EVER! I have been thru it all this summer. When you are anxious to just give up the cleanse and grab that bag of chips (and trust me I am a TRUE chip lover! there is not a single brand I do not like ) think REAL hard about how you will feel AFTER you've eaten it! It is a vicious cycle, you will eat, feel bad, eat some more (possibly binge), and continue to get depressed then eventually leading you back to wanting to be on the cleanse and its just going to keep on going on and on. So just come visit the forum for support! REread all the posts! It will get you so tired reading all these thousands of posts too haha

I can't help but be so proud of myself that I am reaching day 8, I feel more energized than the last time, and I am exercising so much more!

Coco; to wean off the cleanse, OJ for how many days? then vegetable soup? Is it okay to eat the vegetables too? and do you have any recommended recipes? Thank You so much!

GOOOOD LUCK ALL!
